Chelsea Baranski received her BFA from the University of Texas at Tyler and is currently pursuing her MFA at her alma mater. She is active within the university’s art department, serving as a teaching assistant, participating in art club functions, and assisting faculty with departmental events. Baranski has gained experience by instructing classes and workshops, c0-curating a student exhibition, and working with the gallery director to install university exhibitions. She also served as an Education Intern at the Tyler Museum of Art, where she taught Children’s Art Camps and helped with fine art installations.
She traveled to Iceland as an “Artist in Residence” at Gullkistan: International Residency for Creative People in May of 2015. Baranski’s work has been accepted into local, national and international exhibitions, including d’Art Center’s “23rd Annual Mid-Atlantic Art Exhibition” in Norfolk, Virginia, the “30th/31st Annual International Exhibition” at the University of Texas at Tyler, and the “Moray Arts Summer Exhibition” in Scotland, UK. She hopes to continue creating artwork that challenges and inspires others.
